Default Vtec engine wire harness on non vtec engine

Hello I have non vtec b20b 99 civic coupe with a p75 ECU running obd1. I’m wondering if a vtec wire harness will work on it. Would I just have a few extra wires from the vtec?

Right now I have a 97 integra engine harness but I am missing the sub-harness to connect it to the ECU. But before I got this harness I was running a D seires automatic engine wire harness and everything was okay it’s just missing knock sensor, reverse sensor, and some other pig tail.

So i want to buy another d series harness to just plug and play to the ECU but the one I found is for a vtec and I just wanna know if I can still use the vtec wire harness and just not plug in vtec.

Why not use a couple of the automatic plugs, on the engine harness that you have, that are not being used for a knock sensor, reverse wires, and the other pigtail necessary. Then you move the pins associated with these sensors to the appropriate position at the ECU.

Come to think of it... the OBD-1 P75 ECU doesn't have a knock circuit in it, so you would NOT have to wire it up. The reverse wires are easy enough to wire up... reach out to the member "ChuckChains" here on this forum and purchase one of his auto-to-manual conversion harnesses and your install will get easy.
