Drive procedure to set OBD2 monitor
Hello Honda car experts,
I have a Honda Accord LX 2014 (4 cylinders engine) that the OBD2 monitor is not set, so I cannot perform smog test on it. At first the people at the smog place advised me to drive it 5-6 cycles of:
1. Five minutes at 55-65 mph driving
2. Idle for 3 minutes
3. Turn engine off.
4. Wait 3 minutes and turn engine on.
5. Repeat steps 1-4.
However, I done that but still the OBD2 monitor is still not set. It's been 9 months since I have the car battery replaced. When I brought the car back to the smog test place the 2nd time, the guy that checked the OBD2 monitor for me told me to google up specific drive cycle instructions for my car to set the OBD2 monitor. I couldn't find any such instructions on Google, so here I am. I know this post is a little wordy, but I need to put all those details down so you would have all the context. Thank you for your help in advance!
