2008 Ridgeline hazzard switch not getting power
I just replaced the OEM stereo in my son's new-to-him 2008 Ridgeline, and somewhere in the process, I discovered that the hazard switch in the dash stopped working. I happened to have a spare switch, and it didn't work either. No illumination with dash lights. AND the airbag warning light came on, but I'm assuming/hoping that is related to the switch also having the pass airbag off lamp in it. We did NOT cut into the factory wiring at any point. We did T-tap off of a few stereo wires. All fuses in the driver's foot-well and the engine bay are good. We did drain the battery at one point, but I don't think that's relevant. Oh- turn signals function normally. Help? I am not sure how to go chasing this. Thanks!
Under-hood Fuse No. 16 (15A) is the fuse for the hazard switch.
Since there is no illumination with dash lights. and the airbag warning light came on, that likely indicates you may have hooked up the illumination wires incorrectly for the stereo. Illumination Red/Blk is positive and Red is negative.
The Front Passenger’s Airbag Cut-off Indicator is part of the hazard switch illumination circuit on '07-08 Ridgelines.

Interesting. We used an adapter that plugged into the OEM head unit harness, and used the illumination wire from that for the Kenwood head unit, but as I said, we didn't cut anything, so I'm not sure how that could affect the switch. Thoughts? All other dash illumination works... at least as well as it did before.
