Icon4 Cruise Control and P0340 code

2004 CRV M/T

I scavenged various forums and nothing is coming up.

Background:
I had a Cruise Main Button/Switch that wasn't illuminating. Upon removal, I kind of damaged the pushbutton, no click to remain in the closed position. I bought a new one for a Civic and it looked like it wasn't compatible despite being a 5-pin. I swapped the civic button which had the toggle function working as intended. Cruise button lights didn't illuminate despite the seller saying they would... I started fiddling around with a jumper wire to see if I could get anything to illuminate, basically fooling the system. The diagram I was looking at said that when the switch is closed, PIN1 and Pin5 are connected, which illuminates to GREEN LIGHT on the dash waiting for a set point.

Knowing that would ground out based on my Multimeter reading on the plug. I did it anyway.
Had some sparks and now i have an ABS LIGHT AND a P0340 code Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit.

So now I'm trying to backtrack.
What did I do? What did I damage?
Pulled all the ENGINE ROOM fuses and they all look good. brake lights work, horn works.

1) looking for the FUSE for the CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. if i did something bad, FUSE should have protected the circuit and blown before taking out the sensor, right?

2) I got an ABS LIGHT. Again, ENGINE FUSE BOX checks out. Feel like these are linked so it should be the same fuse.
If not how do i clear this?

3) Wiring diagram for my car would be a super helpful link or redirecting to a sticky thread would be awesome!!

4) If I'm pulling parts from a junkyard, what's the cross-compatibility for the cruise switch? looks like Pilot and Civic share, Element is horizontal not Vertical so not ideal. CRV seems to be one of the more expensive variations on eBay.

Fixing this Cruise Switch was the last little bit I had to do to have everything to full functionality so this was kind of a letdown.

All assistance is welcomed. TIA
