Icon4 2016 10th gen civic cold air intake issues

I recently installed the spectre cold air intake kit into my 2016 touring 1.5 liter honda civic and have been experiencing many issues that have came along with installing it. when I first installed it my car immediately went into limp mode and several lights turned went on in my dash. I used my friends code reader and got a p0113 error and was told to buy and install a new MAF sensor. When I did this I started to get throttle stall and the get new codes when I scanned it once more. I now have a p2096 code, and a p0171 code, I have done lots of reaserch and none of the solutions given are related to my intake what so ever, can someone please help me with this I really dont want to get rid of this intake I bought for 200+ dollars and now cant return.

p0113 is the maf or IAT sensor, clean it and make sure its dry and clean, Try a few on and off cycles to the ignition and see if codes go away.

P2096 : Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has received data from the oxygen sensors in the exhaust system that there is an excess of
air and shortage of fuel within the number one cylinder.

The P0171 is a lean code. If you have a stock/street intake tune, the car will run LEAN because it is expecting less air than you are actually giving it. A lean mixture can lead to bad stuff like a blown engine.

I believe you will need a tune at the very least or the proper MAF sensor I believe there is a race version, I have a stock 2.0 LX so I really don't know much when it comes to aftermarket parts for the 10th gen GL.

I would Highly recommend you put the stock intake back on until you know what you need in order to use the Intake on the stock PCM.

It likely is an issue with the MAF sensor being contaminated. The P0171 is likely also related to the MAF sensor.

thanks for letting me know, I replaced the maf sensor with a new one but didnt see any change in anything, I'm planning on replacing the new intake with the stock one soon, but what you saying is that I would need something like a flash tune or ecu tune to control the air flow of my car?
