Building my 2005 CR-V
Hi guys, new to the forum. I'm seeking some guidance and advice. I have a 2005 Honda CR-V and want to swap in a K24a2 motor that I got from a 2006 Acura TSX. I have the motor, the ECU/PCM, the wiring harness, even the shifter and 6 speed gearbox. I don't plan on using the gearbox, but I do intend on changing my current 5 speed gearbox to the 6 speed gearbox from the 07-09 honda CR-V. It's my understanding that it should fit my year as well, however I am not 100% sure. So my question is, how straight forward is this swap? I think so far I've been told that the tsx was drive by wire, can I swap out the manual throttle body that's on the k24a1 and put it on the k24a2, and I guess more importantly, from a wiring perspective, what changes, if any, would I need to make to the harness or ecu so that it everything work for the CR-V?
TSX is drive by wire AND nearly completely CAN bus for integration. It's not going to talk to the cluster or HVAC or cruise control in the CR-V.
You probably want to find an RSX PCM and buy Hondata for it but your milage may vary on how well that integrates.
You must not be in the US market? The US 05+ CR-V is drive by wire.
