Timing chain
I am finishing up a timing chain job on 2014 Accord 2.4 including the balancer chain and have some questions. I need some verification as to the timing marks for the balancer chain on the sprocket.
The OEM chain that I am using has just two gold links. Does it matter which links goes on the balancer sprocket? All I can find on the web are aftermarket balance shaft chains to learn from but these chains have one single color link and a pair at the opposite side.
What is the torque for the sprocket? I torqued the vtc actuator it in the open position then locked it. I would like to recheck the torque but with it in the locked position will I damage it. I used a wrench on the bolt to put the vtc actuator into the right position.
