you rotate it towards the rear for advance (towards Intake Manifold) towards the front for retard. Hope that helps.

ok thanks, i cant see an arrow like some instructions say but i did find a small groove that looks like it could be the arrow because the color bars on the crank pully were really close.

shoot from the hip and pray? no really just tune moderatly and drive it to see if you get the results you want. If not keep tuning.

BTW depending on your car you made need to jumper the diagnostic plug while tuning otherwise the ECU will correct anything you change and then you are just wasting your time

yeah did this all, car pulls better at 16 degrees than advanced to 18 degrees. any reason for this? i followed c-speedracing.com instructions

sometimes codes don't show but are stored in the ecu (not cleared yet) and why are you doing the timing advance just for an intake?

i just advanved it to 18 degrees to see if it made any difference and i didnt. it made the car run worse. so its about 17 degrees right now but obviously its hard to tell. my intake really only consists of cotton over the throttle body. bad idea i wouldnt recommend it
