How to reset a throttle body sensor with OBD2 tool after cleaning???
Hello guys,
I have 2019 Accord Hybrid which has 155,000km(95,000miles).I feel that the fuel mileage has slightly dropped compared to last year. It used to show 21-23 km/l from spring to fall on the same route.
For getting back the fuel milage to normal, I plan to clean up the throttle body. Although I can’t find any tutorial videos or information, I bought OBD2 device(NT710) and chemicals.
The issue I’m encountering is how to reset the throttle body sensor with the OBD tool after cleaning.
If you have an experience with NT710 tool, please help me out.
Thank you,
Un.
1. Select the PGM-FI System with the HDS.
2. Select the ETCS (TAC) TEST in the Function Test with the HDS. <<<<<<< look for this function in your aftermarket scan tool
3. Select TP POSITION CHECK and clear the throttle position (TP) learned value.
4. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
5. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and wait 2 seconds without pressing the accelerator pedal.
If the above function is not in your scan tool(it likely wont be in a lower end scanner) then youll need another scan tool.

My scanner has the function, “TP re-learn”. It took me about 10 sec.
Thanks,
Ryan.
