Default Leaky Exhaust valve help!

Hey all! first time in honda forums, my car 2000 Honda Civic Sedan started running rough randomly and i took it to a mechanic near me and this is what came back for me, The guy showed me that cylander2 sparkplug was black and worn and all the rest were in good condition. My question is.. Should i get the issue fixed on my current engine head or should i find a new one? or should i engine swap to something b-series (always wanted to engine swap this car but financially never made sense til now) Is what im dealing with much of

a serious or costly issue or is it cheap and easy? Thanks in advance!

Default Re: Leaky Exhaust valve help!

New valve seals are about $20 for the entire set. New valve guides are about $95 for a full set. Machine work to refresh the head $250-400.

B swap will set you back a few thousand+ depending how nice you do it.

Hope that helps.
