Ok so never thought I’d get into an RSX but I need to get a 2nd car to save on gas. I looked at a 06’ type s yesterday and almost bought it but then through research discovered that the 05-06 do not have the K20A2 motor which seems to be the most desirable of the K series line. I’m more a B series guy..

Please let me know your thoughts around which model years to buy. My goal is daily driver for a few years, and I may eventually pull the motor/transmission and swap it all into an EF Hatch.

The K20A2 ('02-04 Type S) and the K20Z1 ('05-06 Type S) are very similar... however, the camshaft package is better in the Z1 and would in fact be more desirable.
