What ecu should I use for my 97 b20b vtech turbo
Do you have budget in mind. Is there a tuner near by . I usually start off with : reach out to your local tuner's and see what they like/use and is within your budget.
Right now there is a plethora of options .
Tried and tested is the any OBD1 honda ecu, make sure it's Vtec enabled and then choose your method of flashing / tuning. It seems what is available is Cobra RTP , Snake RTP , and then your basic chip tuning. Honda tuning suite works great and is free. I wouldnt bother with Crome or ECtune anymore . You also have tried and tested Hondata S300 , which also uses an OBD1 ECU .
1) Chipped OBD1 ECU
2) Stand alone, here the options are endless and comes down to budget. Im a fan of Link ecus, Haltech, Fueltech works great . AEM EMS , AEM Infinity
3) There is a sea Arduino Speeduino , hondanguino ECUS . These start from $ 350 to $ 800ish
4) MircroRusEFI ( Im not sure if it has the honda Dristributor conditioners ready

I think the best answer was, what your tuner wants you to run.
Best is subjective to your wants vs needs. # of sensor/injector/spark inputs/outputs, speed of data logging, integration with fancy power control systems, are the main few differentiators.
