Hello I'm new here looking for help I've searched online and can't seem to find anything...my alternator won't charge its a 98 civic hatchback with an lsv swap running a p28 I've put a new alternator and still nothing my alternator fuse is not blown I have power with a test light to both sides also my battery light does not come on...I have one of those tucked ebay obd2b harnesses only thing I can seem to find is that I should have 4 pins in the alternator square plug but I only have 3 I have power with the ignition on to that orange wire and I assume the other 2 go to the ecu? Any ideas or anyone ever come across this?

its the "ebay tucked harness" that is the problem

if you are correct in saying that it is obd2b and your car is a 98 which is obd2a

obd2b is for 99-00 civic. you would need an obd2a harness for 96-98

 

I have a ebay harness too but unfortunately they do say if its obd2a or obd2b
