D16y7 Misfire on all 4 cylinders
Can someone help me diagnose this problem. I have a 1999 civic lx sedan that seems to be misfiring like crazy. It'll start and stay running but the idle is extremely rough and stutters often. The rpm will drop low to where the engine sounds like it'll stop running, then rpm rises a bit. Also, when you press the gas pedal it takes a few seconds to start revving. The highest it was able to rev was 5k rpm.
It'll drive 10-15mph on flat ground but can barely drive up hills, i have to rev it to 5k and then let off the clutch, most it'll move is a yard or so
Ran the obdii scanner and got codes P1399, P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304.
Heres the stuff i did
-adjust valves
-swapped over new distributor
-adjusted timing with timing light
-new spark plugs and wires
No change from doing any of these
-checked fuel pressure, its normal
-compression test, cylinder 1, 2, 3, 4 is 175, 165, 190, 170 psi, respectively
-checked if fuel injectors were firing with the ear on screwdriver method, all fuel injectors clicked and are probably working normal
However, pulling spark plug wire 2 and 3 both either made the rpms drop tremendously or completely kill the engine. Nothing happened when pulling spark plug wire 1 and 4. Even started the engine with spark plug wires and fuel injector plugs for cylinders 1 and 4 disconnected and it ran exactly the same
Anyone know of anything else I could try? Worth mentioning i basically have an entire parts car available to me because i have a totalled 96 civic dx also with a d16y7 but that car runs and drives perfect with no CELs
