96 honda accord lx starter issue
I've replaced the starter 8 times because the starter will work fine for a week or two tops then it's back to not starting I've replaced every relay fuse and re made every ground and hot wire I can make when I turn the key to start it the starter will smack the flywheel but won't turn the motor over I can keep holding the key in the start position and roll the car just slightly and bump the clutch like I'm roll starting it and the starter will turn the motor over and start I get 14.42 volts while charging car off I have 12.8 volts the power drops to 12.5 volts when trying to crank I've also tried using shims from 10 tho up to 55 to pull the starter away from the flywheel some same result I've inspected the starter ring gear on the flywheel looks nearly new the starter is hitting the flywheel hard enough you can feel it in the floor thro your feet I've also tried a new battery and with a jump box I can't find anyone in any form with this issue... I can't figure out how to post a video on here once I do I'll post a video of how loud the starter is when it hits the flywheel
