Hello I have a 00 civic EX with d16Y8 VTec. I had this car since 2007ish and sold it back in 2015. I just bought it back and going through everything. There is a cut wire behind the under dash fuse panel and I can trace it to what plug it's supposed to go to but I don't know what it does and if it's needed. I am not that good at reading FSM to try to locate wire locations. There is a small plug taped to the wiring that goes to the fuse box but don't know if that is needed for my model/trim or not. The main plug that goes behind fuse panel is a wide yellowish plug. Also, there is seemingly some ground wires between the rocker and the driver seat. It seems to be two wires using a ground. It was pretty nasty and some rust on this. I don't know what these are for either. TIA for any help. Blue/red wire cut goes to long yellowish plug to back of under dash fuse box. Blue/red wire cut. Small plug taped to the rest of the wires. Weird yellow wire added to bolt on firewall. Don't know if this was attached to cut wire behind fuse box. Two ground wires between driver seat and on rocker.
So I have been digging for hours. I have been using the FSM online but it's really hard to track down stuff easily (or maybe I am the idiot and doing it wrong) so I opted to use the CD I bought off eBay which is super easy to get right to what I need. I think I found what the wire is supposed to do or where it's supposed to go. The yellowish plug is a 10 pin connector, it's apart of the integrated control unit. It *should* be pin B10 for the blue/red wire. What i don't know still is what exactly this wire does. So here is the pic of the diagram. Also those grounds were apparently for the seat belt wiring and the fuel pump. I cleaned them up cause they had some rust on them and reattached.
