I have a boosted 1999 EM1, I’ve noticed at high rpm when shifting from 2nd to 3rd and getting back on the throttle, the car hesitates noticeably for a split second which slows me down in a racing scenario. Even in 3rd gear while rolling, if I go flat out on throttle the car hesitates almost like a jerking thing for a second before it gets going. Seems only 3rd gear is doing this. General shifting the car is fine. Videos I’ve seen of civics racing, 3rd gear always seems so strong and pulls hard but mine is struggling. Any help is appreciated.

 

Take it back to your tuner and have the tune touched up. It could be as simple as the throttle tip-in fuel enrichment values... but it may be a more complex issue.
