Should I have the tranny fluid changed?
I have a 2002 Honda Civic LX sedan with just over 140K miles. I've noticed lately that it seems to be shifting sluggishly. Today when I drove, I was going 40 MPH and the tach indicated 3000 RPM and felt like such a drag. I've hear that Hondas require special tranny fluid. Is that true?
Yeah, local Honda dealers sell it but make sure you get automatic transmission oil and not manual transmission oil(unless your car is a manual), usually I think they take up to 2-2.5 quarts but could be more, don't know if it'll solve the problem but its usually not too hard to replace and just good for maintenance if its never been done
