I'm new here and hope to find the answer.
I have a jdm dc5 type r facelift. I think it's similar to the rsx.
I'm located in Germany and here I must install a rear fog light to get the registration.
so I have all done. Only one thing did not work and I don't know which wire I must take.
The rear fog light must go on when I have the low beam AND the high beam on.
My situation is that i can turn the rear fog light on with low beam. So far so good. But if I switch from low to the high beam the rear fog light goes out.
the current is at this moment away from my rear fog light switch.
but why... on which cable in the under dash fuse box should I go that the rear fog light goes on low and high beam.
I Have taken hours and days with the service manual book, but I can't find a answer for this problem.
Why does the electricity goes out on my rear fog light wiring when I turn from low to high beam. Although in front the low and high beam shines at same time.
I need only this one cable that I can connect correctly the wire from my rear fog light switch.
That it works on high and low beam.
I don't have the electrical circuit diagrams for Euro models (which likely differs from USDM models), nor whatever fog light system you installed.
But, in the USDM Honda accessory fog light circuit, the fog lights will only operate with the low beams. This is because when the combination light switch is set to low beams, the ground (-) source from the Red/Wht wire goes through the fog light switch, then to the fog light relay coil to energize it and allow power through the relay to the fog lights. (We don't have rear fog lights for US models.) However, if the combination light switch was set to high beams, no ground (-) source goes through to the fog light circuit.
That may be similar to why your rear fog light does not work in high beam. To make the fog light work in the high beam setting in this USDM example, a wire would have to be added to branch off from the combination light switch (Red/Blu wire) to the fog light switch.

A diode should be installed with the wire splice; so, that when the low beams are turned on, it doesn't also turn on the high beams at the same time; and vice versa.
Thank you both... also the idea with the diod is good.
but i can't find the wires. They are other colours and other positions.
Behind the steering column is the connector for the switch, but i measured and measured and can't find the high beam cable who get current when I switch it on.
