My first Civic was a brand new (in 98) HX with the CVT, I loved the look of that car (side skirts and good looking spoke rims) although the CVT sapped its GO, Although you could get around that (somewhat) by putting it in S which bumped the rpm up to 3000 - 3500 right away and gave it Some snap (at the expense of MPG). But left in D on the interstate I got 43 MPG. My other two civics were a 00 EX automatic and my present is a 99 EX 5-speed (black) which I’ve had for 14 years (bought it with 62k) it has 109 now and it’s my fave. It’s had a steady diet of good synthetic juice (tranny and motor) since I bought it. I’m searching for a crankshaft from a d16z6 (must be in EXCELLENT condition to swap out because I want the Better oiling of the d16z6 crankshaft (although my present crank has given me NO trouble at all) I’m just picky I guess lol. I don’t have any mods All is stock. I also get Good name brand gas None of this cheap No real name gas. Same as the motor oil Castrol 0w-40 or Mobil 1 0w-40 or Mobil 1 ESP 5w-30 and 3500 mile oil changes, NONE of this Long drain crap some idiots are doing now a days. if Anyone can help me Find a d16z6 crankshaft in EXCELLENT condition I would greatly appreciate it.
