2000 Honda Accord Transmission Slip
2000 Honda Accord lx F23A1 Automatic Transmission 161,000 Miles
I just got it off a family member who owned it for less then a year. They got in it one morning and it would barley take off but the rpms would increase like the transmission is slipping.
Trying to decide if there is anything to try or test before going for a new transmission.
So far I checked the trans fluid and its full and doesnt smell burnt or look discolored.
I noticed once it shifts to second gear it seems to have no issues driving.
It does clunck harder then a normal car when going from first to reverse and back.
If I try to take off in normal drive it will sounds like a manual with a slipping clutch but if I put it in first on the gear shifter it takes off fine.
Any input is appriciated. going to do some more research while its freezing cold outside and hope the weather turns around. lol
