Default B20vtec/lsvtec pcv?catchcan?

Hello I need help identifying this on my 93 eg hatch. I have the B20vtec swap in and trying to learn how to/where to put my pcv valve. I thought this was for fuel it’s by my battery and behind my intake manifold. It says pcv on the top I’m just very lost. If someone could please identify this for me it would mean the world. It’s the black long tube

also to note the line running from the cap goes to nothing it just hangs there

If you are referring to the vacuum hose with the number "7" all over it, the open end of it should go to the PCV (Purge Control Valve) which was originally bolted to the driver's side rear of the intake manifold plenum. The grey 2-wire plug on the engine harness with a red wire and a yellow/black wire plugs into the purge control valve. The PCV (Positive Crank-case Ventilation) that I believe you are referring to should be a 3/8" vacuum line from the front of the intake manifold plenum and would normally go to the oil separator box on the back of the block... but these don't exist on a B20 block. Some people that create this engine combination will run the PCV hose down through the runners of the intake manifold and place the PCV in open air under the intake manifold... with a small filter on the end of it.

That's your fuel vapor purge canister.

VTEC converted B20s do not have any PCV system by default. VTEC b-series engines had their PCV systems on the back of the block (the 'black box') while non-VTEC versions >1995 had the PCV system integrated into the valve cover - so when you combine the two, you lose all of the hardware from either.

You'll have to rig up a catch can, either using the bungs on the back of the block or from the valve cover
