Cars a 95 accord ex with the f22b1 engine. Basically stock car. Been having an intermittent no start with no codes and fuel to the rails for a while. Was questioning the distributor internals and it finally threw a code 9 cylinder position sensor. Easy fix, ordered a new distributor. Installed it, cyl#1 at tdc, rotor points towards rear of car. Car starts fine problem is it will not time to spec. Closest I can get her is 20° and I'm out of slots to rotate any more. Car is fully warm, jumper pin in and verified engine light flashing codes, idle is 700rpm

I've pulled the valve cover to verify the belt hasn't skipped a tooth. With crank at TDC, piston at TDC, the valves for #1 are loose, cam gear alignment marks aligned with head and gear is labeled up. I out of ideas here.

I about to pull the distributor and open the slots a bit more so I get that couple degrees more and run with it. Before I do I wanted to ask y'all in case I'm missing something here. Ive searched and can't find anything. Thanks

 

What advance do you have without the jumper pin?
