Looking for guidance/forwarding to a company/expert in reviving a N-600. It's a 72 and in decent shape-great floors and not heavy cancer just quite a bit of surface rust, no serious hits neither, all the rubbers are shot so gasket would be needed too (it's hard to find those!)Fairly complete but missing the heart and really was thinking of morphing to electric and definitely automatic due to I'm a amputee..... I'd like to maybe have the entire body powder-coated? doable? bad idea? Color is up in the air but was thinking copper? chameleon? dark rich purple? any recommendations??? Don't wanna do any heavy mods and like the originality but more pep in the step would be superb!!!
I'm out in California but if it's gotta be shipped I wouldn't hesitate especially if costs are significantly lower. Anywhoooo please send your thoughts!!!
Gaskets can be picked from other models or substituted from generics, it all about width and pattern.
The rust is the biggest drawback, the inside was not treated very well and the condensation stays in the same areas such as the roof reinforcements and the windscreen pillars... so you get rust from inside out. My civic is slightly being eaten from inside.
There are many stories on restorations, blasting to metal with proper media and epoxy primer and so forth. Check this posts...
