I have a 1996 honda accord LX 2.2 Non vtec that was just driving then randomly stopped starting so i recently had my car scanned as to which it is telling me (Code P1381 CMP Sensor A intermittent interruption) no matter how much i dig online i can not find the answer to what the hell this sensor is. CYP sensor keeps popping up when i google the code but my scanner says it is a CMP sensor A. What is that??? Someone please help this car only has 114k miles on it.

 

DTC P1381 indicates intermittent interruption in CYP sensor circuit. CYLINDER POSITION - (CYP) SENSOR

The CYP sensor is part of the distributor assembly in your Accord. The problem can be with the wiring, distributor, or ECM.

 

I had replaced my distributor and still have code p1381....what voltages should i get at each pin for the distributor? I got 12 volts on three pins, bottom left ,bottom right, and top left but top right is ground is the middle wire a refrence wire to the ecu??
