93 honda civic no fuel but has spark
Hello,
I know this is probably a common issue but I just need any other ideas, It started fine the night before but in the morning the fuel pump didnt prime, I checked the thermostat ground and cleaned it up and checked all fuses and still no prime. I checked voltage at the fuel pump connector but voltage only appears sometimes. I changed the main relay but still the same issue. Any ideas?

If voltage is intermittent at the fuel pump and the fuel pump isn't running the problem is likely the fuel pump. Remove the fuel pump and connect it to a 12vdc power source and check for operation. You can jump the PGMF1 harness pins 5 and 7 and you should have voltage at the fuel pump.
At key on, engine off (KOEO) the pump receives voltage to pressure up the fuel rail for ~ 2 seconds running the fuel pump. ECU A7+ and A23-. You can hear the pump run briefly. After the engine starts, the pump will run to maintain fuel pressure. Watch the check engine light KOEO as the voltage is a timed function that does not provide voltage instantaneously to the pump. Typically you'll hear the fuel pump run and it stops when the light goes out.
I have all of these problems happening to the fueling process with my current one being the strangest yet. The most common is the blown fuse, PGF1 relay which you can hear operate KOEO, ignition switch, wiring, pump and ECU. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, I forgot to mention I installed a new fuel pump but i got the pump to prime if I hit the ecu. I sent the ecu to get new capacitors and ic17 installed
