Default 08 Crv Battery Crossed up Still Stuck Please help ..... Thanks So Very Much In Advanc

08 Crv .... Well .... This Is Absolutely Tereible, as previously stated on last post (which sorry about yall I know that shoulda been more just into thread to post). I accidently crossed the battery terminals for a quick sec and it sparked. I So excited and hopeing so much that one of the replies was that maybe it was just the 100amp main fuse or the 80 main other which I have replaced both. Still when I put the terminals on the battery to give it power and see where I'm at immediately the running lights stay on as well as immediately I head what was said to be the Power steering in the back left corner working and turning on and stays on. The Car won't do anything which is weird cause my dad just got it from the mechanic who said he had to put a new ground wire in and weirdly my dad then was able to drive it back home fine and parked it under carport. Now it won't start and even the wireless key fob or nothing will work.
. I have tests lights, volt meters ... basic things like that as I am so trying to learn everything esp this car cause it well was my baby heh .
. If anyone can just tell me what i need to try and test and anythings that I can try and check or anything at all to figure this out. It would be so very appreciated and so greatful. I am on the way as we speak 200 miles to go to work on it bit I'm kinda just not sure where to look or what. Anyways thanks again ... for any input pointers anything.

It has a start button instead of a key? If so try holding the fob right against the start button.

I wish maybe later if I can figure this whole deal out. But I'm getting nothing but parking lights and the power steering coming on. Thank you so much but nah there's no push button. I really wanna know how to start or where to start to learn more or what to start testing. Thank you for helping with the reply. I really need this vehicle back running as soon as possible if anyone knows what I can try. Also if I somehow fried the ecu or something drastic can possibly go to you pull it and buy another or something idk anything about that. Thanks again

I'm wondering if the guy that replaced the ground wire didn't get something tight. Is this what it was doing before he worked on it? Check for loose connections or burnt wire on the main cables. Like going to the starter or alternator. Does the ground wire look OK?

Thank you again for the tips and things to check. I did noticed that the cables are rusted and will address as well as making sure everything is tight on the cables and comeing from the alternator and all. It seems something would be loose and all cause dad was able to drive it back home but I accidently did the cross up with positive and negative before we had it towed to the shop to be fixed so I'm just stumped on why dad was able to crank it right up and also continue to crank it and there while it sat. Here and there to make sure all was good still. But it's been so long since last took and got from that shop that I'm afraid there not going to honer, let alone towing it again back there.
