2006 CRV Acceleration Shudder
Hey all! Thanks for reading. Been having an issue with the CRV that has slightly worsened over the past 2 months. It is a 2006, 5-speed auto, with about 212K. Well maintained, my mechanic said drive her till she dies as there are no specks of oil leaks or issues. But, this has been the issue.
During acceleration, there is a vibration, almost like a shudder you experience with a clutch trying to grab hold, can feel it in the car and through the steering wheel. This will happen after continuous driving as well. I accelerate, and primarily in 2nd through 4th gear, and it kicks in kind of around 3000rpm. I checked oil and transmission fluid (both changed recently and on schedule). Trans fluid looks good, no burn smell or color to it. Oil is only 1K into it's 3K change schedule. I am hesitant to take it to a dealer to evaluate as they have very high labor for even diagnostics/discovery. No warning lights of any kind have came on at any point. This year I had a hitch installed to move a few things, but did not haul heavy. I lent the vehicle to my ex girlfriends family for a bit, who did pull, and I am concerned they went too hard on it as the issue started AFTER but did not occur immediately after the return. Maybe this did something? Transfer case or transmission is my suspect. Could it be motor mounts?
Happy to take more questions.

I will check all of those out, thank you.
Are there any big things that stick out if there are issues with the drive's/connections listed? Other than boot wear...thinking just check if there is obviously excessive movement or indications of unnatural wear at joints and connections? Maybe loose connections? Would make sense if the issue has been progressive in nature, then something may be experiencing a progressive connection issue that is self-deprecating.

Did you ever end up finding the cause of the issue? Just a reminder, it's a good idea to replace all the motor mounts if you're going to do one. Old rubber can only last so long.
My shuddering was due to worn outer tie rods, worn tires, a bad CV, and the alignment was out. After new tires and an alignment, 99% of the shudder went away. The last 1% is still there during acceleration, but I'm planning on replacing a ton of stuff. New suspension, new engine/transmission mounts, trans fluid, sway bar bushings, etc. What every I can replace in my driveway, it will be replaced. Hope to drive it for another 130k.

I'm currently in between jobs, so maintenance and repairs are on a tight schedule to fit into the budget. Want to get the tune up stuff done first. Air filter, trans service with filter, spark plugs, valve adjustment with new spark plug tube seals, and rear diff service.
