Default Will relocating the clutch switch for ignition throw codes?

Hi, I've been planning to install a kill switch in my accord for a while now however I just got the idea to use the clutch switch as the lockout. I know it needs to be pressed to crank, my main concern is does the switch need to be pressed when changing gears, like will ecu get mad if it's not seeing it pressed while shifting? Fingers crossed I can relocate it somewhere sneaky without issue. I'll probably start it then unplug the switch to see if there's issue's anyway, but I've always wanted to ask a car forum something lol.
