Car idling issues/ Stuttering while driving.
Just recently did a d16y8 swap into my manual 2000 honda civic LX after blowing up my d16y7. Running the y8 with a p28 manual ecu, wired up the vtec and everything, but after turning on the car, the car decides to idle about 1500rpms or sometimes it drops completely turning off the car, cleaned out the throttle body and car idles around 1000rpms. While driving when im neutral rolling the rpms drop about 200rpms unless I press gas pedals rpms go back to about 1k rpms. And sometimes the car stutters around 2k rpms like its struggling to get any power. Any ideas on what my issue could be? Was thinking it could be my iacv or vtec solenoid. I got video of it stuttering just not able to put a longer video.
possibly tps failure. dorman brand is a good replacement but haven't bought in a few years.

yes its set to tdc, i’m thinking it might be my iacv, tried to clean it out before i order one and it still does the same thing. Left the car on while i unplugged the iacv and nothing happend so im assuming that is my issue? Whats your opinions?
That's not what base timing is, I mean the distributor. You need to jump the diag connector to lock it and set the timing with a timing light.

How did you set up the idacv for the obd1 ecu? Also to get the correct ignition timing you have to use the cam gear from an obd1 engine.
