Advice On Coilovers - 1995 civic eg hatch (dx)
I'm buying some BC racing coil overs for my 95 civic eg (dx) I've worked some stuff out but I'm not sure what spring rates I should go with or what the difference is between swift springs and normal springs is, these are my main questions, any other advice is greatly appreciated as well, i'm aware some stuff depends on what I will be doing with the car, at the moment its solely street driving because the current suspension is awful and VERY soft, if I were to upgrade I'd like to do some "Touge" esc stuff or maybe some casual circuit racing, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to spring rates or damper adjustments when it comes to stuff like this. Once again, any help and/or advice is appreciated. (also some front and/or rear anti roll bars or sway bar suggestions would be awesome)
For what you're doing the default spring rates are just fine.
Swift springs will give you a smoother more consistent ride, since they are a different material and can be produced with less coils. If you value the ride quality and can afford the price jump, I would go that route.
I personally went with the ER series coilovers (external reservoirs), and I found them to be a worthy upgrade over the BR's. That said, they are quite a price bump.
