Default EG Civic hybird suspension questions....

I currently drive an EG Civic Hatch and plan on swapping in a B18C. I also plan on getting either Skunk2 or Ground Controls coilovers but I'm wondering if I should just get the EG Civic version or the Integra GSR version because I believe they are both differnt designs(the EG civic coilover designed for the lighter SOHC engines?) because the integras engine would put more load on the front suspension so wouldn't the Integra's version be a better idea. Anybody have any previous experience with this?

I'm sure the shocks are the same part #. But with the springs, they will be different. Yes there is a difference in spring rates when you order between the two. I would order the integra springs for comfort, but if you want a better handling car, get a custom rate from GC.

Blake is right on both counts. The springs ARE diferent and you WILL get a better suspension setup if you tell GC what you intend for the car. Most tract/street car setups go 300 to 350 in the front and 400 to 450 in the rear but that is just a very general statement.

Yeah, Integra rates will be stiffer but still comfortable- I suggest those. Unless..... you feel like planning for the future or to the type of racing you will be doing and getting custom rates Either way, if you go GC you can upgrade springs at a later date and Skunk2 may offer the same type of thing. I decided to go with GC and 450/550 rates and am happy for now
