Code P1077 and P0166
Hey Y'all,
I need some help with my 2006 rsx base auto. These past couple of weeks I've been getting the two codes P1077 and code P0166 which I know is the IMRC. I've already went ahead and changed the solenoid but after a few days the light was back up. But what tripping me up is the CEL comes on and off intermittently. on for a couple days, off for a couple days. thus, I'm assuming I just need to remove the intake and clean the valve because its all gunked up in there causing it to not work properly. But what is also confusing me up is that the Butterfly valve switches to the short intake runners at 4200 rpm(or at least thats what i've heard) and I daily drive this car through rush hour pretty much everyday and I do not have a heavy foot, so the odds of the car even see that high of an rpm on my everyday drive is rare, so why would it even trip a CEL if the IMRC isn't even really being used.
If someone has some insight to what my problem may be let me know and I appreciate the help.
