Heater Hum noise only when on High
Hello, I have been researching about a hum noise I have only when my heater is on and it is on high. I can remove the noise by simply turning the blower down even one position from high. It really sounds like a restricted motor (really dirty filter). I have already changed the filter and this is not it.
I can remove the noise by either turning the heat down slightly or by turning the blower down slightly (1 step down on either).
The noise sounds like it is behind the dashboard, but more towards the driver side.
I came across this post which is exactly my issue. The forum said maybe it is the blend door motor. The user went around getting quotes, but one mechanic said it sounded like debris (which I can see, because it sounds restricted).
Unfortunately the user never responded back with what and if he actually got it fixed
I saw another user mention they possibly had a manual so he could take off the dashboard (mentioned it was 8 bolts). Unfortunately that was never linked either and I cant send a message because I am new here.
I did google around to how to remove the dashboard, but also no luck either. This was about the only forum post I found on the subject that actually matched my description.
Does anyone have the manual so I can figure out which bolts to remove for this, or any other suggestion to isolate the issue to specifics?
Thanks!
