Default 05 Element LX AWD Auto to Manual Swap

After a long hiatus, I find myself back here on H-T. This time I'm working on building myself a new daily driver project.

I've been searching, and I can't find a lot of definitive information on this topic. I bought this Element with a slipping issue in the transmission for a super low price. I don't really desire to fix the automatic transmission. I wanted a manual Element in the first place, but again super low price, and it is a completely rust free chassis from the south that just happened to be here local to me.

So I've done auto to manual conversions before, but never in this specific vehicle. From my past experience, and the little bit of information I could find, I know I'll need to:

*swap brake pedals
*install the clutch pedal
*drill a hole for the clutch line in the firewall
*Install the clutch master cylinder
*Install the MT shift lever, brackets, and cables
*Install MT ECU, and either swap wire harnesses entirely or rewire for the changes

Apparently, I need to use Hasport RSX Auto to Manual bracket for the driver's side transmission mount as the mount in the chassis is different between auto, and manual chassis.

Additionally, I have found that AWD 5Sp transmissions are on the pricey side, and FWD 5sp can be had for much less, and can be converted to AWD by adding a drive gear to the differential, and installing the AWD transfer case. I wonder the Auto AWD transfer case is the same as the 5sp, and if I can reuse mine. The same goes for the differential. If so, I could potentially have an AWD converted 5sp transmission for not a lot of money. With the cash I saved, it would make sense to go ahead, and install a 6th gear while I have the transmission apart. If it is too much screwing around, I may just go pay more, and buy an AWD 5sp, and swap it in. I've already found both options locally.

I am looking for some definitive information from someone who has experience doing these things. I'll also likely be updating this thread with progre
