How should I align the hood on my EH2?
Made an account just to get help with this..
Just bought a ‘94 DX Hatch 5 speed with 77k original miles. Definitely needs some body work stuff, and the front bumper is aftermarket unpainted.
Went after getting the line between the hood and the bumper to straighten out and figured it was the alignment of the hood, took it off and now it’s way out of whack. Having trouble getting it to fully latch and close now as well, can’t tell if it’s the latch mechanism or the alignment.
Any tips for a stupid newbie?

Focus on getting the latch to close properly first.
You can adjust the height of the latch by loosening the two (10 or 12mm) bolts that hold it to the front of the car. If the hood isn't latching all the way, you may need to raise the latch mechanism.
On that same note, there should be two rubber "stoppers" at the front of the car on either side that the hood rests on. You can twist these by hand and raise or lower them, which would in turn allow the hood to sit lower or higher.
