Default Ac Issues Help!

Hey guys Ive ran out of ideas of what could be causing issues on my 92 Civic Lx. So far I have a new compressor, new low and high pressure lines and a new dryer. I had the AC charged up and seems to cool but doesn’t get cold how it use to. I tried driving it around see if the AC gets any colder but the temperature started climbing? As soon as I turn off the AC the temp goes back to normal. It doesn’t overheat when I dont have it on but when I do it starts climbing back up. I let the car cool down and next day I tested the fans and they all work. Got my test light and Condenser fan activates as soon as I turn on the AC. Any ideas? Car has new water pump and timing belt no coolant leaks as its full. I havnt done the thermostat yet.

the expansion valve is bad and needs to be replaced. EV is found inside the AC evaporator box, located behind/underneath glovebox.

yeah, it's a common issue. When the AC blows cold but lasts only 10 minutes or so, it's usually the EV especially if there are no leaks.

You can still remove the evaporator box without removing the dash. Hard part is pushing the rubber boot back into position at the firewall during re-installation.

does this also cause the temp to slowly start rising? I was driving it around and once I turned the AC on the temp started climbing slowly. But as soon as I turned it off the temp went back to normal?

Mine would start blowing warm after about 10 minutes. If I let the car sit for a bit and turn on the AC again, it will blow cold, same process again.

Im talking about the engine temp. The gauge starts climbing. Mine doesn’t blow cold but blows cool. But when I activate AC while driving the engine temperature starts to rise

How old is the thermostat? I would replace that and bleed the system at least.
