Default I used gasket maker instead of gasket on oil pan

Hello all,

I just used a permatex the right stuff one minute on my oil pan instead of a rubber gasket. My EF have had a chronic leak since the day I rebuilt the motor. I went thru three or four gaskets including a Honda gasket and Honda bond as well to no avail. I even asked a buddy to come help me install a couple of the gaskets to see if I was doing something wrong. Still kept leaking a small amount and you know how annoying it is. I finally used a gasket maker and so far no leaks. Please share if you’ve had any experience with using a gasket maker instead of a gasket on an EF. I might be doing something terrible here, it’s just am running out of options. I’ll post an update after the first drive. I’ll post a picture of the gasket maker I used.
