K swap or sell the ITR??? what would you do?
I own a 2001 ITR since brand new..
long story short the crank got damaged and it can't be fixed.. it needs a new bottom end. which is near impossible to find.
now K swap seems to be only logical solution but i have no knowledge when it comes anything K and there's no honda mechanic near where i live.
im running out of energy and motivation to fix the car.
what do you guys think i can get for my 2001 CDM ITR ( im the original Owner) 150000 km

Repair the engine, if it's and 01 CDM ITR that's a unicorn.
If it spun a bearing the gsr crank is similar and the rods are the same. Im in BC Canada and just rebuilt my motor for my itr using a used crankshaft, new OEM rods and pistons.
K swap would ruin the car unless you decided you want to modify it further (if it's all original then try to keep it that way, but your car your choice)

Do what it takes to repair engine or find good JDM B18C5. Realize easier said than done, but this is critical stuff here. If it was me, I would K-swap as absolute last resort (which should not be required at this point in time).

i might eventually go K but i hate to do that to my car.
that would be the right thing to do but they want crazy amount of money for any B series engine now days.. specially the type r ones..
so i found a bare B20B block with crank. im gonna have to go with B20 vtec .. i will have to get some pistons and connecting rods for it. and hopefully it will work out.
thanks for your reply guys..
B18CR will never be cheaper than they are right now...
It's just a reflection of the value of the cars. But a B20 is a nice middle ground!
