Battery cuts when going into odd number gears (1st,3rd,5th)
I’m having a issue where whenever I shift into the odd numbered gears I see my clock turn off and lights on the dash turn off too but whenever I shift it into 2nd 4th or reverse it doesn’t do it. I relocated the battery to inside the car but still having the same issue. I look under the car and move my shift linkage around and it’s not hitting anything. Any ideas on where to start ??

My guess is you have a grounding issue. Shifting into reverse engages the revers switch on the trans which could be completing the circuit. Try unplugging the reverse switch and see if the behavior changes. If so, I would start chasing grounds.
