Default ‘90 base hatchback no crank no start

I drove this car around all day yesterday, it sat at work for 9 hours and started right up when i left. Parked outside my house last night, i get in it this morning and it doesnt start. Lights come on, fuel pump hums, but when you turn the key to position three all you get is im guessing a relay click behind the dash.

circled in yellow is this yellow wire leading to a fuse (seemingly independent from the fuse box) with a yellow fuse that says 25 on it. Fuse looked fine in any case. Circled in white is a disconnected black box. Im assuming they’re grounds because theres one directly to the left of it hooked up to a metal hook, and another one under the metal piece below the circle. I didnt see any place for any of these to be reattached.

I dont remember these hanging loose like this. Was something stolen..?

Maybe the starter itself got stolen! Just joking.. Possibly the clutch safety switch has a issue? Check your fuses and the spade terminal connection on the starter itself. Looks like a manual by the little bit of clutch cable seen in the pic... Would have to trace where that yellow wire goes (looks like a wire added for a small amp or after market alarm?) and that plug with the black box looks like a relay or something? Plug it back together and possibly there should be a mounting hole for it within the harnesses reach if it's all stock factory stuff but doubtful that those would be causing your problem.

it could be the horn, as i dont have one when i press the steering wheel. And as for the black box i cant find any mounting hole, unless someone knows where it’s supposed to go.

my issue is probably a clutch safety like you said or bad starter voltage. i thought it might be a ground. if you or anyone else knows how to check these things it would be very helpful

If you hear a click try checking your starter. Most likely not battery and fuel and spark. I’ve had this with mine. Mine turned out to be the starter wire to the battery positive. Check your positive and negative wires from the battery. Make sure you got the tranny ground and a regular ground on negative side make sure the wires are good too then for positive it’s one to the fuse box and one to the starter. The fuse box one should be on the left next to the alternator wire. Also try smacking the starter solenoid with something could be solenoid stuck

Also with your wires to the battery make sure they are big too and not small 12 or 10 gauge I had that issue wire was too small use at least a 6 or 8 gauge if you can’t find 4.
