Hey I've dug around in the threads for a couple hours and haven't found anything quite relevant to the issue I'm having. '89 Si hatchback, and I recently replaced the inner and outer tie rods on the steering rack. Took the car to the alignment shop and they said that it looks like the passenger inner tie rod is too long. Do I need 2 different length inner tie rods? are they Si rack specific parts? I put mevotech inners and moog outers for reference. All the parts websites and the Honda diagram for the steering rack shows that there's only one part number for both inner tie rods. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I rebuilt my rack a couple years ago for my '89 crx si which should be identical to yours and they are for sure the same length on each side for the inner tie rods.

 

Oh interesting, do you happen to recall what brand of inners you used?

 

Intentionally i was only going to replace the bellows but decided to refresh the rack with the MOOG inners aswell. So far so good with them.
