Default new to me car. no start, coolant blown out of radiator.

i just bought this car for 500. 01 ex civic. it was overheating, eventually it was hard starting and then blowing all its coolant out of the radiator. so i figured it might be the head gasket but the more i looked the more i found wrong. the plastic crank case cover was shattered, oil was leaking out, the car seemed to be on 3 cylinders.
so i took things apart (first time on a gasser) and all i want is to get it running so here are my thoughts, let me know what you guys think of this plan.

hone the cyllinders, deck the block, hair cut the head, ddclean things up, get new bearings for the rods and crank. new rings, new head gasket, and new crank case cover. RTV all the things, and reassemble.

missing anything do you think?
this was running and driving 2 days ago... lots of rust o.O

pics or it didnt happen::

Huge waste of money. You've already significantly damaged the transmission case, cut your losses and scrap it.

I've welded the year back on, doing a rough machine shop on it and then reassembling with some new bearings

Find a replacement engine, unless you do proper machining (including resurfacing the head so it’s actually flat) you’re wasting your time. It’s probably been overheated so badly no matter what you do it’ll blow again.

Yeah the heads up the machine shop now, getting a haircut. I'm rebuilding the bottom end and surfacing the deck. I'm going to rering it and re gasket it as that's only $100 kit. The machine shop's going to do the head for about $300 with valve job and everything.

I'll probably be into this for about $500 total, I'm just going to ball hone the cylinders as they look okay.

The block has some of the inner linings of the cylinders protruding out the top surface. So it definitely got really hot

Did you ever find the original reason it was mixing coolant and oil ? Was the head warped ? Did it have a crack ?

It was warped, and the oil was leaking out of the oil pan gasket and crankcase cover. The engine was just covered in what I assume must have been manure or something? Thick enough to where I couldn't find the bolts without shipping away at it
