Can't remove spindle
I have a 94 CX hatch. One of my lug bolts broke and I need to replace it, and since you need to pull the hub I want to use this time to just replace both hubs and bearings. The problem I'm running into is that I can't pull the spindle off the car. I was able to wedge something in between the spindle and LCA and pop the lower ball joint free, but now I still can't seem to bust the tie rod and UCA free from the spindle. No amount of sledge hammering is busting it loose. Is there any trick to this? I can't find anyone else having the same issue
I used this kit for my spindles - https://www.ebay.com/itm/332656892562
Your local auto shop may have something as well, but they may not be the right size for the Civic. You can also try using a pitman arm separator.
If you've been beating the UCA and tie rod you'll likely need to replace one or both ball joints there as well.

Well, a sledge is not the best way to go. Hopefully you were not hitting the threaded area on the tie rod, if so, then you more than likely roached the tie rod end. Generally you will hit the side of the spindle where the tie rod inserts. Sometimes you have to use a pickle fork inbetween the tie rod and the spindle, then once its in good and tight, bang the spindle where the tie rod inserts.
Instead of removing the knuckle, just remove the axle nut. Then use a slide hammer and hub puller (free rentals) attached to your lug studs to remove the hub from the wheel bearing. Once you replace the bad lugs, you will need a FWD bearing remover/installer from harbor freight ($110) to press the hub back in.
