pilot wont start
ive had the 2007 pilot for only a month. it was running quite well until recently. to complete my registration i am required to pass a ca emittions test. any sign of warning light will cause a fail. i was seing a vsa light with a triangle light . i found a youtube video to correct the by using a jumper wire between two pins on the data terminal below the dash. i thought the directions were followed as described, but i didnt get the response on the dash lights like described in the video. since then the car wont start, and my scan tool (xtool d9) will not communicate with the car. it doesnt recognize the vin number and shows a can not communicate with the ecm. . before i bite the bullet and take it to a real mechanic. can anyone give me something that i might try.. i have tested the fuel delivery system and confirmed the pump is working and the pressure seems good, if i jumper the power directly to the pump. but there is no power to the fuel pump relay below the dash. is this one of the security-smart key protocols? any help is appreciated
yeah, i thought something was fried, too. and it was, but only a fuse. . i had disconnected a fuse for a parasitic drain, when i connected the fuse, i noticed the antitheft system was activated and then found a blown fuse . fuse replaced, all is well. thanks for taking the time to reply.
