Default Ac compressor not engaging unless jumped

I did a b16 swap into my 98 hatchback I used a b series bracket and used the ac lines and d series compressor that it previously had, I was able to make it work but only by jumping the compressor from the relay, I’ve changed the relay I’ve checked all fuses and grounds and it has been charged to the proper Amount of r134a. I’m out of ideas on where to look I’m not sure if the ecu could cause should a problem or what? I’m running a p28 with the swap is there anything I’m missing to make it work? I haven’t seen many posts that I relate to this TIA.

Is your engine harness OEM and unmodified?

the engine harness is a tucked harness but it doesn’t connect to the ac? The one that goes from headlights and accessories is the original one though and is the one it connects to.

This is what I suspected. Check pins A15 and B5 on your harness, they will need to be populated in order for the ECU to tell the AC clutch when to engage. A lot of tucked harnesses come with only the bare essentials to get the engine running and don't include a connection for those.

Archive anything you see that looks useful because as you can see the website was last updated 17 years ago and still expects you to have Adobe Flash installed, lol.

alright sorry it took forever to reply but I checked and it’s indeed missing those two connectors where exactly do they lead to and would autozone sell everything to pin it or other stores? Thanks for that wouldn’t have known to check this
