Default Proportioning valve help

I have a 94 civic hatch with a full Integra brake disc conversion. It looks as though the previous owner used a 90-93 Integra prop valve, which in turn means the bracket does not fit properly in my hatch. As you can see in the photo, my prop valve is also covered in gunk. Has a lack of a correct bracket to mount the valve into the car caused some extra stress on the valve that could be the cause of a brake leak? I know that these can leak internally and *can* be rebuilt. Should I source a replacement EG bracket, or is it really not worth it? Are the valves interchangeable across brackets? Should I be concerned at the supposed brake fluid on the valve? Is it even possible to purchase a new replacement PV? thank you

I believe you can swap the brackets. I have 1 of the prop valves for this brake upgrade and was planning on swapping the bracket. Unlike you, I didn't find info about rebuilding the prop valve as they are becoming harder to come by. That would also be some great info to have on hand.
