Radiator fan not turning off
Hi
I’d like to seek for your expert advise on what i need to do to fix this issue - Radiator fan turns on when coolant is at 98 deg C. However, once the rad fan turns on, it spins nonstop. This started after a recent cooling system update
components replaced with all brand new parts:
2 rows alluminum radiator
Thermostat
Thermoswitch
waterpump
Rad fan relay(under hood fuse box)
ECT sensor
What could be causing this? I’m thinking about replacing the radiator fan motor next.

- The aftermarket coolant temp gauge shows the temperature drops to the lowest reading( 40 deg C) while the stock temperature gauge reading also drops to 1/4 of the stock gauge.
- On cold starts, rad fan doesn’t spin during engine start.
- When starting the engine while it’s hot, the rad fan spins as soon as the key is switched to the ACC
What could be causing this? I’m thinking about replacing the radiator fan motor next.
