Default Need some Help please with ITR setup!!

Hey guys I’m needing some help and would be very great full to anybody who can help me with this
The motor is a 98 b18c type R all stock

okay so before installing the new motor I had the water pump timing belt all that replaced before installing it . The other day I noticed the timing belt was very loose ,the front of the belt was flapping like crazy “not the tension side “ . Didn’t think nothing of it , jacked up the car made sure timing marks was good after all that turned it 3 teeth counter clockwise belt was good and tight . Tighten back up went on my way . Started it up same thing still happening front of the belt flapping and very loose . So I went and ordered a new belt and tensioner, checked my water pump and made sure it was good . then reinstalled the belt and tensioner. After
installing the new belt I did exactly what helms and everybody on the internet says to do and turned the motor counter clockwise 6 rotations for belt to line up set back to tdc , turned belt 3 teeth counter clockwise tighten tensioner belt good and tight , But still same problem as before . So now I’m looking over everything and slowly turning the motor by hand to see what’s going on . I notice after each compression stroke the belt becomes very loose. and right before the compression stroke it get super tight . And this happens with or with out the spark plugs being installed . So this time when I go to tighten the belt , I get it in that sweet spot when the belt becomes loose right after compression stroke. I pulled up on the tensioner and tightened it down. Now the belt don’t flap and is no longer loose but now before each compression stoke the belt gets very tight . Is this normal ? I’ve done tons of timing belts in the past but was always d series motors . . Or is there a problem any help would be awesome . I’ve been reading threads the last two days but nothing really captures what I’m going threw . It took me almost 5 years to save up for this motor because money is tight in my house and really don’t want anything bad to happen to it . Thanks and sorry if I didn’t post this right

Make sure your using the correct water pump and timing belt! compare the water pump gear teeth count to the original and make sure the timing belt is OEM and for a B18C5. You can always try on the old Timing belt and see if the issue is still there. I know its a lot of work to change the belt. You should have at least 1/2 inch of deflection in the belt when you twist it by hand.

Or try one of these timing belt tensioner's
