Boosted 00 Acura EL 200WHP Questions
Hello all!
New to Honda Tech, but have been following the forum for quite some time as a non-member. Decided it was time for to be an actual member. Anyways, I have goal of boosting my single cam D16Y8, from what I researched and what I understand the D16Y8 is capable of holding power anywhere between 200-225 WHP stock block, wth the exception of upgraded to ARP head studs and head gasket.
I'm not looking for anything extremely too crazy as in the future I'm looking to fully build my B18C block i have in storage and go the B series route once I have more money, space, time etc.
My question is would I need to do anything internal wise for the block if i have such moderate goals? Should I look to get Z6 crank or will the Y8 suffice?
My goals for it is to be a quick reliable daily, as of right now engine is pushing 350,000 KM stock.
